SONOC, a voice and messaging vendor on Thursday launched programmable APIs to give users greater control over their OSS/BSS and switching services to optimize and enhance their existing systems.

Over-the-Top (OTT) players, Carriers and Service Providers can rapidly deploy new modular capabilities using SONOC’s RESTful APIs and have full control at a granular level, of all features available in the platform, said SONOC.

SONOC enables users to spin-up capabilities associated with advanced routing, traffic management, bilateral management, billing, quality monitoring, fraud control, cloud-based SBC and switching, as well as many others. Unlike other voice and messaging management platforms, SONOC removes the need for an “all or nothing” approach to platform deployments and replaces it with an agile model for building a component-based architecture. RESTful APIs can be accessed by SONOC’s customers via a simple online library which enables instant plug-ins to other applications.

Almost every capability on the SONOC platform can be accessed via API and quickly deployed by IT teams within a telco’s organization. SONOC allows users to quickly and efficiently manage and optimize their businesses with a user-friendly set of modular tools, reports and capabilities. It combines OSS/BSS, anti-fraud solutions, traffic monitoring, analytics, and SBC and switching in a single seamless platform.

Luis Benavente, CEO at SONOC
They no longer have to deploy a platform and work by the vendor’s rules. We are presenting our capabilities and enabling them to build and optimize solutions that meet their specific needs.

Craig Phillips VP of Product Management at SONOC
That’s an out-of-date model. It no longer matches the open and software-centric needs of our users. SONOC’s API-First approach enables telcos to automate and accelerate more of their processes at the pace they want to move.
