Algérie Télécom has signed a five year contract with Nokia Networks to upgrade its IP/MPLS (Internet Protocol/Multi Protocol Label Switching) network to serve its data customers better and to ready its network for unpredictable growth of data traffic.
Nokia Networks being the project lead and system integrator for the project brings in Juniper's IP/MPLS solution to offer flexible end-to-end transport services more efficiently and securely across network domains.
As part of its scope of work, Nokia Networks will also provide network planning and optimization to ensure that the opeartor’s network can deliver the necessary throughput, latency and resiliency for the highest quality of service.
