Cell C South Africa Deploys CommProve IuB Monitoring Solution

Ireland based CommProvea, the leading provider of real-time QoS monitoring software solutions for wireless networks, has been selected by Cell C, South Africa's leading mobile network operator (MNO) to assist to provide better quality of service to its more than 16 million subscribers.

According to CommProve, the network monitoring suite that is planned to be deployed across Cell C's network by the end of the year brings in proactive monitoring capabilities that extend Cell C's existing solution to provide IuB interface monitoring, enabling Radio Access Network Insights with complete end-to-end view of KPIs, KQIs and user behavior. CommProve added that its IuB monitoring deployment will provide a first level of root cause analysis for solving radio-related failures, whilst at the same time having details of the individual users under analysis during the activity period monitored.

"The RAN Insight solution, coupled with the already deployed network management solution from CommProve, will provide Cell C with a very powerful 24/7 network monitoring solution at their fingertips and a way of managing network quality, network capacity and customer satisfaction; this will help Cell C further strengthen its position within the market"

-   Lars Pedersen, CEO, CommProve

"The pilot period with this system has proved exceptionally valuable to Cell C and we look forward to being able to use this solution to improve our quality of service to the customer."

-   Cell C CEO, Jose Dos Santos
