BLU Telecommunications, a new entrant in Ghana's telecom scene, has selected Alepo Technologies' complete LTE solution for Policy and Charging Control (PCC) and BSS / OSS to launch new 4G LTE services in the country. Blu plans to launch LTE services including data, voice, IPTV and Wi-Fi hotspots for residential and commercial customers in the second half of 2014, with plans to include services such as IMS & VoLTE at a later stage.
According to Alepo, the pre-integration of its Service Enabler and Policy and Charging Control systems enables BLU to readily deliver, manage, and monetize LTE services. Alepo will also provide high-performance AAA infrastructure to support Wi-Fi hotspot services, and will integrate its platform with third-party vendors including Cisco and Huawei.
