T-Mobile Deploys Mavenir Systems' IMS Solution for VoLTE

Richardson-based Mavenir Systems, software-based networking services provider, announced today that T-Mobile is using its converged IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) core network and Telephony Application Server (TAS) for its VoLTE service. 

Mavenir said in a statement that the US carrier has first deployed the solution to launch Wi-Fi Calling in 2011, leveraging early investments in Wi-Fi Calling to accelerate network readiness and launch VoLTE service. Mavenir added that 14 tier one mobile operators globally are using its VoLTE solution.
