GTA Teleguam (GTA), the leading Communications Services Provider (CSP) in Guam, providing telephone, cellular, internet and television service adds 4G LTE data roaming capabilities to its network using the Dialogic's Diameter Signaling Controller (DSC) solution.
GTA which introduced 4G LTE service on October 2013 has deployed Dialogic’s BorderNet Diameter Services Helix in its evolved packet core (EPC) network to add Diameter Edge Agent (DEA) functionality for security.
According to Dialogic, the Helix platform provides flexibility for future applications, including local breakout.
“We see significant spikes in our roaming traffic throughout the year since more than a million people visit our island annually. After securing our 4G mobile core, our LTE investment will expand service quality for both our domestic and international roaming customers. We believe the BorderNet Helix can scale to meet our traffic demands more cost effectively than other market solutions, and will give us more options for connecting to other mobile operators and IPX providers to handle LTE roaming traffic.”
- Robert Haulbrook, CEO, GTA
“Service providers are putting more emphasis on LTE network deployment strategies that give them the agility to roll out services quickly and with lower risk. Our BorderNet Helix provides them something we see as unique – a full-service platform that allows for interworking, signaling orchestration and service enhancement capabilities that help operators rapidly develop innovative and personalized connectivity services.”
