A leading French MVNO has selected Vedicis, a leading software provider for broadband traffic optimization and monetization solutions to reduce bandwidth costs and to implement new application-aware data services. Vedicis' Content Smart Switch for DPI-Policy & Charging enforcement is selected for creation and rapid deployment of the MVNO's prepaid packages. The new platform also monitors and limits bandwidth over-use at peak hours, thus reducing bandwidth cost and improving Quality of Experience for all users.
Vedicis said that the swap to its platform has been realized in 2 months to deliver bandwidth and quota controls with user and application awareness. It added that the Content Smart Switch integrates seamlessly with the current data charging system and enables launching of new packages that were not possible previously.
