Poland's P4 Deploys Comverse ONE Converged BSS

Play (P4), Poland’s mobile communication service provider with nearly 11 million customers has selected the Comverse ONE Converged Billing & Active Customer Management solution to support expansion of services and functionalities for its advanced 4G/LTE network serving a rapidly growing subscriber base.

Comverse,  a global leader in telecom business enablement, said that the upgrades provide capabilities for advanced LTE charging supporting voice, video and messaging, with differential charging for VoLTE-based voice and video calls. Besides enabling advanced service personalization and rapid time to market, Comverse ONE also enables virtualization capabilities reducing hardware footprint.

"Comverse has been a strategic partner for Play from our very start, helping us to scale up, in a very quick timeframe, from greenfield to tier-one with Comverse’s second-generation converged billing solution powered by Comverse Kenan and the Comverse ONE Real-Time Billing Solution. Evolving our billing platform to the next level, using rating capabilities of the Comverse ONE solution will unleash the powerful capabilities of our newly launched 4G/LTE network. As a result, we can quickly roll out differentiating mobile products, new services and innovative offers to create a superior and more personalized customer experience while significantly reducing expenses – delivering more value to our customers at a better price.”

- Jorgen Bang-Jensen, CEO, Play

"As a strategic partner in Play’s swift rise from start-up to its current position as one of Poland’s major services providers, we look forward to our expanded role. Comverse ONE’s advanced support for LTE will enable Play customers to enjoy a richer scope of services and applications on all connected devices. Advances in marketing agility, customer experience and smart monetization will position Play to increase its competitive advantage, and drive its success to new levels.”
