Vodafone Qatar has launched the next-generation wireless voice service, VoLTE that enables high definition (HD+) voice calling on its 4G cellular network.
Vodafone VoLTE will let customers use 4G data seamlessly to browse the internet and use data-driven apps without interruption even while on a voice call, with no need to end the call to use the internet. Customers can also look forward to superior voice quality compared to 3G voice and overall quicker call connection. Handsets that support video calling will benefit from video calling over LTE.
Vodafone customers with a VoLTE-compatible handset can enable the service through their smartphone settings, if it is not automatically enabled. The Operator is working closely with its smartphone partners to enable VoLTE on an even wider range of smartphone models. VoLTE is charged in the same way as all other voice calls.
