Innovative Systems Adds Gigabit SIP CPE to APMAX IMS Application Server
Innovative Systems has completed testing and added the Aastra's SIP enterprise desk phones to its APMAX IMS Application Server (ACS). This enhances the ecosystem of supported SIP CPEs, adding CPEs with Gigabit Ethernet (GE) ports, as there was an increasing demand from business customers to eliminate additional wiring and simplify installations without compromising the bandwidth required by power users.
The integration with Innovative Systems' APMAX™, the platform that delivers enhanced voice services and IPTV video solutions, enables provisioning, firmware updates and also offers a Web Portal option for subscriber management of SIP key settings. According to Innovative Systems, the Aastra 6867i joins over 50 different SIP devices and 10 different vendor brands that the ACS service can manage and maintain firmware updates for. The primary advantage of ACS is to allow service providers the ability to manage multiple brands of SIP phones from one GUI that they are already using with their APMAX hardware platform, added Innovative Systems.

“The addition of the Aastra 6867i handset is a significant step forward in our product offering. The 6867i allows our customers to continue to utilize their high capacity internal networks and take advantage of the latest technology advancements at an economical price point.”
