Tallac Networks, an SDN Wi-Fi Cloud networking company, launched on Thursday Software Defined Mobility™ platform, a SDN based Wi-Fi cloud platform for midmarket business customers, facilitating them to lower the cost of deploying and managing their Wi-Fi networks.
Tallac said that the newly released solution enables Managed Service Providers (MSP) to provision, manage, and monitor Wi-Fi networks via a centralized multi-tenant cloud platform. The Tallac platform enables MSPs to deploy various business applications with vertical market customers in education, retail, and hospitality that leverage network awareness and programmability.
Tallac also highlighed that the Software Defined Mobility™ platform includes OpenFlow-enabled 802.11ac WLAN access points.
Tallac is partnering with Edge-Core Networks to bring the affordable, high performance Wi-Fi hardware to its target market.
“An MSP can deploy a single, physical Wi-Fi network and orchestrate groups of Wi-Fi tenants into independent networks. Our platform configures all required network attributes to deliver a true application-centric Wi-Fi Cloud network."
- Bill Johnson, President, Tallac Networks
“Tallac’s solution disaggregates networking hardware from propriety network operating systems and brings an extensible software defined network paradigm to Wi-Fi Cloud services. Together with Edge-Core Networks, we can enable an open networking environment for MSP based on an Opex business model and cost effective TCO for end-customers."
