The Network Technology Research Institute of China Unicom has chosen Ranplan as a preferred supplier of indoor radio design tools. An initial purchase order in the region of USD 400k is expected to be revenue recognised before the end of calendar 2020.

Ranplan Wireless develops solutions that can help Operators to plan, design and optimise inbuilding and outdoor wireless networks in coordination. Its solutions help an ecosystem of companies deploy the next generation of wireless networks for a range of applications in urban environments, supporting multiple technologies such as 4G LTE, 5G, Wifi and IoT, providing end users with an unmatched quality of experience.

Per Lindberg, Interim CEO, Ranplan Group
We are very proud to have won the trust of one of world’s largest mobile operators at a critical junction in the transition from 4G to 5G, one characterised by an increased emphasis on cellular indoor mobility in close coordination with that of the outdoor. It is our hope that China Unicom, as well as its ecosystem partners, will benefit from our suite of software that not only help perfect the initial deployment of radio nodes but also their subsequent performance within day-to-day operations.
