Transatel, a pan-European leading MVNE/MVNO company with headquarters in Paris, France has deployed Diametriq's Diameter Interworking Solution™ in its Global MVNE network. Diametriq said that Transatel needed their NextGen Diameter-based 4G LTE OCS to interwork with CAMEL based legacy networks. Diametriq’s Diameter Interworking System™ (DIS™) solved this problem by providing interworking between CAMEL and Diameter protocols.
According to Diametriq, the initial deployment of the Diametriq DIS™ involved connections to over twenty networks using core network elements from all major vendors around the world including the successfully completions with Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson and Nokia Siemens.
“The standard bodies have not addressed the CAMEL-Diameter interworking issue yet. Using our 20 year history of protocol expertize, we worked closely with a Tier 1 MNO to define this interworking standard and implement an industry leading solution.”
- Kumar Ramalingam, Diametriq's CTO
“As the leading MVNE in Europe (awarded Best MVNA and nominated for Best MVNE at the MVNO World Congress two years in a row), guaranteeing robust and high availability connectivity to multiple Tier 1 MNO’s is a must for Transatel. The Diametriq solution is helping us get further flexibility in accommodating different flavours of signaling from operators whilst maintaining efficiencies and economies of scale in our core network via a unified architecture. That way, Transatel can deploy its MVNE platform for mobile operators in a matter of weeks and cost effectively”.
- Bertrand Salomon, Transatel Deputy CEO
“We believe that our expertise in telecom signaling combined with our strong product portfolio helped Transatel make a decision in our favor.”
- Anjan Ghosal, President and CEO, Diametriq
