Calsoft Labs Selects Ixia as Test Partner for NFV

Calsoft Labs, a company which offers a suite of high performance Virtual Network Functions (VNF), NFV orchestration framework, and systems integration services for NFV implementation by telecom operators, has selected Ixia as its test partner for performance and scalability testing of high performance carrier-grade VNFs meant for commercial NFV deployments.

Calsoft Labs uses Ixia products such as IxNetwork, IxLoad and Xcellon-Ultra™ to test functionality, performance and scalability of carrier-grade Intel® DPDK optimized VNFs designed for deployment in Telco data centers. Ixia assists enterprises, service providers and equipment manufacturers to test, validate and benefit from next-generation SDN and NFV deployments.

"Ixia products such as IxLoad and Xcellon-Ultra have been a valuable asset to us as we continue to push the envelope for VNF performance, scalability and reliability at Calsoft Labs. We look forward to work closely with Ixia to offer robust NFV solutions to our customers".

- Narendra Dhara, Senior VP of Engineering and CTO, Calsoft Labs

"The benefits of moving toward virtualizing and operationalizing network appliances are undeniable; however, this is still a very challenging task for carriers as it creates new performance bottlenecks. In order to maintain carrier grade performance and optimally provision virtualized resources, testing is critical; and we are excited to work with Calsoft Labs, a leader in cutting edge virtualized solutions optimized for carrier requirements."

- Michael Haugh, Product Marketing Director, Ixia
