Procera Networks announced today that it has received a follow-on order for ContentLogic from an existing Tier 1 EMEA Mobile Network Operator (MNO). The MNO is using the solution to offer Parental Control services for underage subscribers. The expansion, which is software-only, will be made on the existing PacketLogic deployment, further increasing the strategic value that Procera solutions offer this operator.
Procera said in a statement that the mobile operator is leveraging the capabilities of ContentLogic to offer Parental Control services to its subscribers without deploying additional hardware in the network, saving both capital and operational costs. This capability can be activated in PacketLogic deployments with a software license, requiring no upgrade and immediately offering new service options for broadband operators.
"ContentLogic enables mobile operators to offer parents additional levels of child safety and enhance a family’s mobile broadband experience. Offering Parental Control has traditionally been cost-prohibitive for large-scale deployments, and ContentLogic removes the performance and scalability barriers that are present in existing Parental Control solutions.”
