Ooredoo Myanmar and ZTE have signed an agreement to collaborate on 5G network development.

The collaboration is one of many components of Ooredoo Group’s network modernisation program and will ensure that Myanmar is ready for the “Evolution to 5G”.

To kick off the partnership, Ooredoo Myanmar and ZTE Corporation will be considering potential test environments to deploy Ooredoo’s 5G network. The test environments will be used to evaluate the performance of the 5G network and technology to ensure that best-in-class service is achieved once the network is operational.

5G will impact the entire mobile network and associated eco-system, from devices to radio access, IP core and into the cloud.
