Telecom Fiji and Huawei jointly announced the successful deployment of its 10G Passive Optical all fiber network. The network will provide Giga-band network access service for Fijian households as well as enterprises.

This 10G Passive Optic Network (10GPON) technology differentiates itself from traditional copper wire technology by providing a maximum of 10Gbps download speed. The utilization of this Optical Distribution Network enables the provision of a 1Gbps/xGbps access rate with faster speed, higher reliability and lower latency. This covers all scenarios including: home broadband and enterprise customers.

Josept Naua, GM of Sales and Marketing, Fiji
By adopting Huawei's super 10G Fiber Broadband, the competitiveness of our fixed broadband in Fiji is significantly enhanced. The faster and more reliable Giga-band connections makes it possible for our customers to enjoy 4K/8K videos, smart home services and high-speed enterprise interconnections.

Eago Li, Sales Director of Huawei Fiji
It is our honor to support TFL to launch the first 10GPON as we are celebrating our 15th Partnership Anniversary. With the help of the 10GPON access network, TFL can soon provide rich digital services including multi-channel 4K/8K/VR, smart home and so on to Fijian households and SMEs.
