AT&T launched Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Marketplace which provides businesses pre-packaged software code to embed in their websites and applications, enabling simpler, faster and more efficient ways to communicate with customers in near real-time.

With AT&T API Marketplace, businesses can easily add or upgrade services to their websites, such as click-to-connect voice, video and text as well as 2-factor authentication, conferencing, virtual directories and contact center, says AT&T. These communication APIs give businesses the tools they need to provide potential customers and existing users the customer service capabilities they desire.

Built on Ribbon Communications’ Kandy platform, the AT&T API Marketplace offers turnkey applications and self-service APIs for developers to create custom applications.

The developer-friendly model enables AT&T to regularly add new APIs to the AT&T API Marketplace, making more capabilities available to businesses. As 5G technology becomes more widespread, the AT&T API Marketplace will help businesses create video-intensive apps via next-generation wireless technology, says the Operator.
