Sotelco Cambodia Signs ZTE for 2G, 3G and 4G Wireless Networks

ZTE won a major mobile network contract from Sotelco, one of the largest mobile operators in Cambodia for 2G, 3G and 4G networks, swapping the operator’s existing vendor. The swap over and upgrade covers the capital city of Vietnam, Phnom Penh and core areas of other provinces.

According to ZTE, the solution offered to Sotelco enables GSM, UMTS, and LTE technologies to run on the same hardware platform, avoiding the need to run multiple hardware platforms. ZTE Uni-RAN solution supports 42Mbps HSPA+ 3G and 4G LTE services for Sotelco, enabling the network to meet rising demand for 3G and 4G mobile broadband services, while efficiently managing network resources.

"We are excited to set up the strategic partnership with Sotelco. This project will deepen ZTE’s understanding of the mobile market in Cambodia, helping us provide the best solution for mobile operators.”

- Zhang Jianpeng, Vive President, ZTE

"With ZTE’s support, Sotelco will enhance our position among the top mobile operators in Cambodia in coming year."

- Huot Vanthan, Owner and Chaiman, Sotelco Ltd
