APAC Tier 1 Cable MSO Selects Procera Networks' Deep Packet Inspection

Procera Networks, the global network intelligence company, announced it has secured an initial order from a tier one cable multi-system operator (MSO) in the Asia Pacific region that includes multiple PacketLogicTM 8920 systems to replace an existing Deep Packet Inspection vendor in its network.

"Procera’s PL8920 delivers Intelligent Policy Enforcement at speeds up to 50 Gbps, with the largest traffic signature database available enabling granular visibility and analytics for network optimization and revenue generating service creation."

"Winning another tier one APAC service provider customer is further validation of our solutions’ technical superiority," said Paul Gracie, senior vice president of Global Sales and Services at Procera. "MSOs are venturing into new territory with 'video triple play' services where they support set-top video, their own IP video content delivery networks, and OTT video services. In this environment, it is critical that MSOs gain network intelligence and visibility into existing consumer behavior to prioritize network investments for the creation of new services that add to their revenue streams and maximize ROI."
