Fonex announced that it has secured an agreement to supply an adaptable mobile backhaul solution to French Tier 1 Provider Bouygues Telecom.
Like mobile operators worldwide, Bouygues Telecom is faced with the challenge to optimize its fiber infrastructure and expand its reach into new market segments, said Fonex. Designed to support Bouygues’ mobile evolution, FONEX’s integrated solution consists of a passive WDM infrastructure, WDM active pluggable interfaces and an optical protection element. A component of the mobile xHaul solution features technology developed by FONEX’s in-house optical equipment manufacturer, LambdaGain.
Fonex's WDM passive technology offers Bouygues Telecom a future-proof solution that can be adapted to support xHaul, remote sectors, micro cells as well as 5G.
