Telia Company has chosen Nokia's NetGuard Identity Access Manager to enhance the security of IT and OT (Operational Technology) environments across its networks in Sweden and Finland, which connect approximately 10,000 employees.

The Nokia NetGuard software will enable Telia to simplify security operations and enforce security policies more effectively, while accelerating incident analysis responsiveness by 80 percent.

Nokia NetGuard Identity Access Manager is an integrated software module of Nokia's Security, Orchestration, Analytics and Response (SOAR) suite: industry-leading software powered by machine learning, analytics and automation that provides extensive visibility and insight into the nature of security threats, and drives intelligent, automated responses. It will help Telia to protect their physical and virtual network assets, while providing ubiquitous Identity and Access Management to infrastructure, resources, and systems for traditional, virtualized, cloud-based and Software Defined Networks (SDN).

Allowing network administrators to automate the process of granting access to networked resources and eliminating often costly integration with third-party systems, Nokia's NetGuard Identity Access Manager will control access for Telia's operational staff and partners, automate security policy enforcement and enhance compliance with the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

It will also automate privilege access and automatically change passwords on all managed systems according to company policies to enhance security while eliminating many hours of manual work. The software can easily be integrated into Telia's multi-vendor, multi-technology environment, speeding up the adoption of security policies and increasing productivity.

Adding NetGuard's active monitoring, mitigation, detection and prevention capabilities, Telia can prevent threats before they materialize by rapidly spotting and stopping suspicious behavior, and responding to security events almost instantly.
