VoltDB has integrated VoltDB 4.0, a high-speed operational database, into HP SNAP (Subscriber, Network and Application Policy) and HP enhanced Internet Usage Manager (eIUM),  its next-generation Telco Mediation, Policy and Charging solutions. The newest HP Mediation, Policy and Charging solution embedded with VoltDB will be made generally available to current and new customers in Q2 of 2014. The VoltDB has been integrated to a number of leading telecom vendors/solutions namely Openet billing, Alcatel-Lucent IPTV Solution and Airpush mobile ad network.

According to VoltDB, its in-memory database will uniquely address the real-time requirements and is purpose-built for high-velocity applications that is ideally suited for high volume transaction-based applications like policy and charging control that require scalability and performance characteristics that are beyond the reach of traditional databases. It added, the VoltDB 4.0 provides low cost per transaction and the ability for organizations to process high-velocity data in real-time, enabling real-time account updates and help telecom providers to overcome challenges to link policy control with charging, rating and real-time subscriber data.
