Virgin Media Business has partnered with Versa Networks to provide its enterprise customers with a host of secure software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) services designed to integrate with the cloud and improve automation, security and enhanced connectivity.

Under the new partnership, Virgin Media Business will use Versa Network’s Cloud IP platform to provide fully managed secure SD-WAN services.

The multi-tenant software platform will enhance network performance, providing Virgin Media Business customers a highly-automated and application intelligence service that improves their cloud and application connectivity and experience. This will in turn enable those customers to make changes at their discretion and define how they use their network.

SD-WAN is turning corporate IT on its head; enabling the IT to respond to the business needs rather than the business responding to what the IT can deliver.

Versa Networks’ Cloud IP Platform will provide better application connectivity with secure enterprise WAN access and an overall enhanced application experience for Virgin Media Business customers to software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based offerings, such as Office 365, and cloud service providers, such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. Security features in Versa’s Cloud IP platform, which includes IPSec encryption, add a layer of protection on top of customers’ existing traditional security architecture.

Peter Kelly, MD of Virgin Media Business

Kumar Mehta, Co-founder and CDO, Versa Networks
