CommScope, a multi-national network infrastructure provider company has entered into a new eight-year partnership with OFS to help ensure the availability of optical fiber supply for use in its customers’ networks.
Both the companies are investing in capacity to address the strong demand for more bandwidth. OFS supports CommScope with their global operations with a multi-sourced contract from OFS optical fiber facilities in the United States, Europe and Japan.
According to OFS, the company's innovations in fiber optics can support this breadth of reach from fiber for traditional outside plant applications, to 200 micron fiber helping to ease installation in existing crowded duct networks, to bend insensitive fiber to connect the home, businesses and wireless cells.
Jaxon Lang, SVP and Connectivity Solutions Segment Leader, CommScope
Through this agreement, CommScope secures access to a premier supply of optical fiber for development of innovative fiber cabling products for global wireline and wireless networks. Service providers and enterprises are pushing fiber connectivity deeper into their networks to address the growing need for speed and capacity.
Pierre Marty, SVP, Global Marketing and Sales, OFS
