Telco Systems and 6WIND have team up to introduce a vRouter on an open uCPE solution with support for both Intel x86 and Arm architectures.

The design of this new joint solution combines Telco Systems’ NFVTime solution with 6WIND’s Turbo Router, to allow service providers to rapidly launch and remotely manage managed router services on a standalone basis or as part of service chains that include additional virtual network functions.

Telco Systems' NFVTime, a carrier-class NFVi-OS running on white box appliances, includes a broad portfolio of certified VNFs, including SD-WAN, vRouter, vFirewall, vProbe, vSecurity and more, that are centrally managed and orchestrated from the network edge. With NFVTime, any new VNF service can be remotely launched at any time with zero touch, plug-and-play provisioning.

6WIND Turbo Router is a high performance, ready-to-use software network appliance deployed in bare metal environments or as a virtual machine. With 12 million packets per second per core of routing performance, 6WIND Turbo Router provides the performance of hardware networking equipment with the ease of deployment and flexibility of software.

By supporting multiple technologies and multiple vendors, this solution gives service providers more flexibility and greater cost savings with high performance over low cost hardware, such as Intel ATOM and Arm/NXP devices.

Eric Carmes, Founder and CEO, 6WIND
We are excited to demonstrate 6WIND Turbo Router in both x86 and Arm frameworks enabled by the unique 100% hardware agnostic architectural approach of Telco Systems’ NFVTime. NFVTime multiplies the value to VNF vendors and delivers important flexibility and cost effectiveness to service providers.

Ariel Efrati, CEO, Telco Systems
6WIND is a great addition to our market leading portfolio of VNFs and we are especially proud to be a leading force behind the developments and innovations pushing the NFV market forward.
