Digicel Group have chosen Squire Technologies SVI_STP (Signal Transfer Point) product for rollout across multiple sites in their Caribbean, Central American and Asia Pacific networks.
Squire Technologies is a UK based company specialising in signalling product solutions in SS7, VoIP and IMS / 4G.
In 2014 Cisco announced an end-of-life on their STP product and so Digicel product management started looking for a fully supported replacement product.
The SVI_STP provides full support for SS7, NGN and IMS / 4G signalling networks. A fully featured product with global deployments it allows service providers to rapidly deploy, rationalise and deliver new services into their network.
From their launch in Jamaica 2001, Digicel has expanded rapidly and now span 31 markets in the Caribbean, Central America and Asia Pacific, with 14 million subscribers and 5 billion invested across its markets.
