Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management firm, WeDo Technologies, this week launched a series of cloud-based applications that tackle telecom fraud.

WeDo said that the new RAID.Cloud enables faster integration with existing technologies, as well as a simpler, faster, smarter approach to managing telecom fraud that takes only minutes to integrate.

According to WeDo, RAID.Cloud also saves time and reduces costs with its self-service and user friendly, on-the-spot onboarding process. This is achieved through the development of several detection apps, ready to address specific fraud types, such as roaming, bypass and IRSF. RAID.Cloud also provides groundbreaking applications (apps) in digital risk profiling, customer experience (CX) and crowdsourced service assurance analytics.

Last year, the Communications Fraud Control Association reported that fraud was costing the sector an estimated $38.01 billion. The trend indicates that the need for companies to take action and secure their telecom systems is greater than ever, but at the same time, the speed at which new risks are appearing call for more flexible and versatile solutions.

Recently, WeDo Technologies and Ericsson have formed a global partnership in business assurance to enable operators to proactively safeguard new revenue streams, assure healthy margins and minimize risks in a very dynamic ecosystem.

By combining WeDo Technologies RAID software platform with Ericsson's Risk and Business Assurance services, operators will be able to leverage on a unique value proposition delivered by the solution that is based on a "financial benefit first" approach. It will address a wide range of risks related to key business and operational processes across operator domains, such as product, customer and partner management, order management and provisioning, as well as QoS/experience driven billing and partner settlement.
