KPN, the leading converged operator in the Dutch market announced that it has reached 1 million fixed-mobile households in the country, recording an increase of over 54,000 accounts in just the last 2 months.

Fixed-mobile customers are showing increased loyalty, evidenced by an annualized gross churn level of approximately 5%, said KPN. The company reported that fixed-mobile bundles accounted for 38 percent of its postpaid base and 33 percent of its broadband base at the end of the second quarter. More than half of customers on KPN-branded postpaid deals now take both fixed and mobile services.

According to KPN, it will continue its strategic focus to deliver leading services centered around households and the ongoing convergence of fixed and mobile services.

A month ago, KPN announced that it will expand trials of Vplus technology in few location in Rotterdam, Haarlem and Hillegom. Led by its wholesale division, the field trials will be used to test download speeds of 400Mbps over standard copper wires.
