Ericsson tops the service delivery segment in Infonetics' Service Delivery Platform Vendor Scorecard, which profiles, analyzes, and ranks the 5 largest global vendors of service delivery platform (SDP) software - Ericsson, HP, Huawei, OpenCloud and Oracle. The ranking is based on eight different matrices including market share, market share momentum, financial stability, solution breadth, and service provider opinions on technology innovation, product reliability, service/support, and pricing

According to Infonetics, Ericsson leads 3 of every criterion except pricing, while Oracle is capitalizing on the demand for enterprise applications and services, including M2M to continue its success in the SDP market.

  • Huawei and OpenCloud, a smaller player in this segment scored highest in the pricing categories.

Based on completely quantitative metrics, including financial information, product capabilities and service provider feedback, we named Ericsson the top vendor in the service delivery platform (SDP) software market, with Oracle following close behind. Ericsson scored particularly well on service and support and product reliability, and Oracle received high ratings on financial stability and solution breadth. Both companies, however, scored below average when it came to pricing.”
