Telstra backed startup accelerator, muru-D, is calling for applications from technology entrepreneurs pursuing digital business ideas for the third round of its Sydney-based program. This year, muru-D is also calling for startups from the media industry, following an agreement with Seven West Media. The ten successful startups will receive up to $60,000 seed capital investment, access to business support, a collaborative workspace, mentoring and coaching to help them develop and expand. As part of the agreement, one successful startup will receive additional mentoring and support from Seven West Media to help them grow and scale.

Following two successful classes in Sydney, one in Singapore and two partnerships with The Icehouse in New Zealand and River City Labs in Brisbane, Sydney's third muru-D will also benefit from a highly developed network of mentors and industry professionals, said Telstra.

Annie Parker, Co-Founder, muru-D
One of muru-D’s objectives is to grow and support the startup ecosystem in Australia. This means working with other corporations and organisations to help educate and advise them on the most meaningful way to participate. We see this partnership as a great outcome; one which could become the blueprint to work with other companies throughout our programs, in Australia and Singapore.
