UK based global mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), Truphone announced the acquisition of the Internet of Things)(IoT) Connectivity Management Platform from CoSwitched, an IoT start-up providing management platform for connected machines, such as connected cars, asset trackers or smart meters.

Truphone which operates on the Vodafone network in the UK allows its business customers to use its service in 66 countries globally. Truphone's World Businesses SIM enables users to connect with a local data centre, rather than send information routed through the phone’s home country first, reducing lag on calls and data.

Truphone said that it selected CoSwitched based on their high quality platform with its extensive set of capabilities, high degree of flexibility and scalability.

Steve Robertson, CEO of Truphone
Through this acquisition we'll be able to apply our core product benefits to the Internet of Things ecosystems and address the demand of international customers for a consolidated proposition across multiple markets.

Bruno Duarte, Co-founder and CEO of CoSwitched
Truphone shares our vision of seamless machine connectivity to the Internet, anywhere in the world. We are very excited to join forces.
