Leading Self-Organizing Network (SON) solutions provider, Cellwize has acquired CrowdX, a provider of an innovative crowdsourcing solution, adding comprehensive insight into the end customer’s mobile experience. Cellwize said that incorporation of CrowdX crowdsource technology enables its solution, CrowdView, to offer a range of unique capabilities for operators; with its optimization evolving from a network-centric to a customer-centric approach, resulting in increased subscriber loyalty and profitability.

According to Cellwize, its solution extracts end-point anonymized data to drive measurable improvements in customer experience and network performance. Utilizing the latest in crowdsourcing and machine learning techniques, CrowdView continuously collects metrics from both mobile and Wi-Fi networks via a device-based app and leverages its cloud-based analytics infrastructure to enable immediate actions through the Cellwize platform. This data provides real-time capabilities to Cellwize SON to resolve network demand and improve the customer journey across multiple vendors and all radio technologies.

Ofir Zemer, Cellwize CEO
We have seen that collecting and analyzing anonymized data directly from end-user devices, including new data points such as indoor/outdoor, Wi-Fi handover and roamer experience, and cross-correlating them with the network data already processed by Cellwize is essential in order to provide operators with a whole new view of their customers’ mobile journey and quality of experience (QoE).

Gil Friedlander, CrowdX CEO
stated, “CrowdX brings innovation and experience, complementing the value Cellwize provides to its customers.” Ofir further commented, “the service-aware, customer-centric SON offering will revolutionize mobile network optimization.
