Fast-growing wireless networking company, Cradlepoint has acquired software-defined networking (SDN) startup, Pertino. Boise, Idaho-based Cradlepoint provides software-defined 4G LTE network solutions for SMEs, large enterprises, government and carrier organizations.
The move enables Cradlepoint to leverage Pertino’s cloud platform to rapidly deploy software-defined overlay network services to support 4G/LTE mobility and Internet of Things solution to its customers. The addition of the Pertino technology and team strengthens Cradlepoint’s efforts to enable private, wireless virtual networks over the public Internet with virtualized services that run in the cloud and CPE to provide the end-to-end visibility, security and control enterprises need, said the company.
