Swedish telecoms giant, Ericsson has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire the Polish and Ukrainian operations of Ericpol, a software development company and long-time supplier to Ericsson. At the end of the transition process, more than two thousand employees will become part of Ericsson operations in Poland and Ukraine. 

Ericsson notes that it is by far Ericpol's largest customer, and bringing Ericpol into Ericsson secures the competence and deep knowledge about Ericsson that has been built up over years of collaboration.

With the intended acquisition of Ericpol's operations in Poland and Ukraine, Ericsson said that it secures well integrated software development competence within radio, cloud and IP to enable business continuity. Ericpol also brings expertise in ICT for industry verticals such as automotive, automation, banking, healthcare and administration.
