Gartner, the leading provider of research and analysis on global information technology and telecoms industry, Friday announced the acquisition of business software analyst and advisor, Capterra. 

Capterra, a privately-held company based in Arlington helps organizations find the right business software to meet their needs. Founded in 1999, the company provides a web service that connects buyers and sellers of business software. 

In a statement, Gartner said that the acquisition of Capterra is consistent with its growth strategy to invest in developing world-class products and services that help clients make the right technology-related decisions, every day.
