MediaTek Opens Second R&D Center in India, Investing US200 Million over Next 5 Years
  • MediaTek has announced that the company will be investing over US$200 million in India over the next five years to tap the growing super-mid market for its presence in segments such as connectivity and home entertainment devices. Inline with this, MediaTek will be opening up a new Research & Development (R&D) facility in Bengaluru, India to focus on developing innovative and inclusive solutions for wireless communications. The company currently has a R&D facility situated in Noida, making the new Bengaluru center the company's second major facility in India. 

  • MediaTek, the leader provider of cutting-edge Systems on Chip for wireless communications, connectivity and entertainment industry, said that it is actively looking at diversifying its operations in the country beyond mobile communications, by enhancing its connectivity and home entertainment segments.
