The GizmoPal by LG is a wearable for kids. The GizmoPal which is a wristworn device has a single button that allows the user to make and receive calls to/from pre-specified numbers, enabling parents to keep in touch with their little kids as young as 4 years old anywhere within the network coverage area. The GizmoPal  has its own mobile connection and is offered by Verizon at USD79.99. Verizon customers can add this device on their MORE Everything plan for an access fee of USD5.

The GizmoPal is part of the new segment within the smart wearable market that caters for monitoring and tracking of very young children. Just last month, AT&T unveiled its FiLIP 2 smart locator that enables parents to keep tab of their children's whereabouts. The kids locator is undoubtedly an up and coming wearable that is poised to become a major must-have device among families with little kids. With integration to the cloud and the availability of monitoring apps which can be downloaded on smartphones, these smart locators and 'kid-phones' make it so easy for parents to be informed about their children. 

According to Verizon, the GizmoPal allows calls to a primary or secondary number and can reveice calls from two additional approved contacts. The GizmoPal apps can be installed on both Android and iOS devices, and locates the child's whereabouts using GPS technologies. In addition, the device allows parents to receive the child's anticipated location information automatically at pre-scheduled times through the Location Check feature, ensuring that the kid reaches home or school on time.
