Hong Kong mobile operator, SmarTone has selected Cisco Jasper managed connectivity platform, Control Center to deliver Internet of Things (IoT) services. 

This partnership enables businesses in any industry to leverage the SmarTone mobile network and Cisco Jasper to deliver new services and increase revenue.

According to Cisco, IoT helps businesses meet the changing needs and expectations of their customers with new services, experiences and business models that deliver bottom line growth. This partnership between SmarTone and Cisco Jasper makes it simple for companies of any size to transform their businesses by offering connected services that enhance their customers’ experiences while enabling new revenue models.

Last year, Cisco partnered with the third largest mobile operator in Taiwan, Taiwan Mobile to help its enterprise customers to unlock new revenue streams, introduce new customer services and, at the same time, manage costs and monetize through various IoT application services.

More recently, Olivetti, the digital arm of Telecom Italia/TIM selected Cisco Jasper IoT platform to provide managed connectivity solution for business customers that is fully integrated in TIM’s Italian mobile network. Russian operator VimpelCom is also leveraging Cisco Jasper IoT/M2M platform be able to implement, manage, and monetize M2M/IoT services, such as fleet management and smart metering, through seamless device connectivity.
