M1 has launched Entertainment Data, offering postpaid customers unlimited local data access to popular video and music streaming services Netflix, Dailymotion and Deezer, without having to worry about excess charges.
Over-the-top video and music streaming services, in delivering unprecedented content to Internet users, have driven online media consumption. In 2015, according to a Media Development Authority of Singapore survey, 90% of consumers aged 15-34 use online streaming services, with younger users spending more time consuming online media than they do traditional TV.
Entertainment Data is available at a promotional monthly subscription price of S$4.90 for the first six months. The normal price of S$9.90 per month will apply thereafter.
