Singapore's largest mobile operator and a leading group operator is venturing further into digital services with the launch of Singtel Newsstand, a digital subscriptions service to a wide range of leading international and local newspapers and magazines. Singtel postpaid mobile users will be able to enjoy access to some of the world’s best news, business and lifestyle coverage and analysis, as well as podcasts and videos, without drawing down their local mobile data allowance.

At launch, Singtel Newsstand will offer the largest local newspaper, The Straits Times, as well as award-winning international titles such as The Wall Street Journal, TIME Magazine and Fortune Magazine. Singtel plans to add other premium publications such as The New York Times, The Economist and Financial Times in the coming months.

Singtel postpaid mobile customers will also be able to sign up for print, as well as digital subscriptions for selected titles, and charge them to their monthly bill. As Singtel Newsstand’s device partner, Samsung will offer a free three months subscription (worth up to S$98) with every 12-month Singtel Newsstand contract. Customers who purchase Samsung mobile phones from Singtel from now until 30 June 2017 are eligible for this promotion.
