The largest Mobile Operator in Estonia, Telia became the first in the Baltic States and one of the first Nordic operator to offer Voice over LTE(VoLTE) HD calls on its 4G network in the country.

The service will initially be supported on Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL Microsoft via latest software updates. The Operator is working with other device manufacturers such as Sony, Samsung and Apple to introduce more models over the coming months.

Telia customers having a VoLTE compatible device can activate the VoLTE service at the closest Telia's service center or go online to its website to subscribe to the service. VoLTE calls will be charged similar as the existing tariffs and the service will not consume subscribers' mobile internet usage.

The Operator said that it is also working towards adding a variety of additional services such as presence information, instant messaging and file sharing as part of the new service.
