Telkomtelstra, a joint-venture between Telkom Indonesia and Telstra, this week released a new Private Cloud service to Indonesian enterprises to complement its existing Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. Customers can now have the benefit of hosting their own Private Cloud platform secure to their business and fully managed by telkomtelstra, allowing them to focus on their core products and services.

Partnering with world leading providers, such as VCE, the converged platforms division of EMC, telkomtelstra said that it will deliver an end-to-end management platform, supplying customers a complete service across the network and into the cloud – helping to deliver organizational growth in an efficient and flexible way.

Telkomtelstra is also planing to offer customers the option to combine Private and Public Cloud applications creating a Hybrid Cloud solution that enables greater flexibility of business operations, infrastructure management and cost control.

Erik Meijer, President Director of telkomtelstra
It is important for Indonesian organisations to look at how Private Cloud can not only help secure their business critical applications and data, but also look at the overall cost reductions of a fully managed service. We provide these Cloud services, on locally-hosted infrastructure, in order to comply with government regulations around on-shore data storage and integrity.
