The largest mobile operator in Belgium, Proximus announced that as of 30 April 2016, mobile surfing within EU (+ Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein) will be up to 70% cheaper for its subscribers. The price reduction will also be effective for SMS and voice calling.

According to Proximus, daily Travel Passport remains the best option for customers who use mobile Internet. From 30 April, for 2 euro per day, they have up to 80 MB for surfing in all those countries, which is more than the current 50 MB. On top of that, they will also receive 20 call minutes and 20 texts to all these countries. Activation is free of charge and users will receive a free text alert when they are close to reaching their limit.

People who are often away on business trips, said Proximus, can choose its Bizz Travel Europe plan. From 30 April, this bundle will offer 200 call minutes, 200 texts, and 200 MB for 10 euro per month (excl. VAT),  which is double the current bundle for the same price. This increase will occur automatically for existing customers, said Proximus.
