Telia Sweden announced that all of its customers on its regular mobile plans can now enjoy free surfing on most social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Whatsapp without the usage on these apps eating into their monthly quota. Customers however need to be 'Booyah' - agree to be cool and comply to its fair usage policy. Telia said that the use of social media in Sweden has risen by 30 percent in two years, with the fastest growth coming in from the 25 to 44-years age group. According to a recent survey, two thirds of Swedish families use social networks daily on their mobile phones.

Jonas Hasselberg, head of Telia's Consumer Business unit
Social networks are an important part of the communication pattern today, they are the glue of the family life puzzle and one of the most important things we deliver to our customers is communication with family and close friends.
