StarHub TV to Air Locally Produced Short-Form Content

The second largest mobile operator in Singapore, StarHub and Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) will together spend up to S$10 million this year to commission over 80 hours of original local productions on television and digital platforms.

According to Starhub, for the first time ever, viewers who enjoy consuming content on the go, will also be able to indulge in highly engaging short-form content - each ranging from five to 15 minutes’ in duration. Viewers will be able to catch StarHub’s exciting lineup of Public Service Broadcast (PSB) content on its self-packaged channels, E City (StarHub TV Channel 111/825) and SuperSports Arena (StarHub TV Channel 112/205), as well as via its online streaming service, StarHub Go.

Lee Soo Hui, Head of Media Busines Unit, Sharhub
We are encouraged that our first batch of PSB content was well-received by the local audience. Two of our titles were even acquired by other broadcasting platforms - testament to the emphasis on quality that we place in our local productions.

Dorothy Lai, Director (Public Service Broadcast), Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA)
Through PCFS funding, local producers are exposed to more opportunities to create compelling and entertaining content for different platforms.
