The largest mobile operator in Thailand with over 38.5 million subscribers(based on last year's Q3 figures), Advanced Info Service(AIS) launches VoLTE service across the 77 provinces in the country to enable its 4G customer to enjoy voice calls in HD with low noise and faster connecting time. Users can also switch between VoLTE and Video on LTE (ViLTE) seamlessly without having to hang up.

According to AIS, calls on VoLTE will be charged as regular calls on existing packages without extra charges for data. The service will initially be supported over a range of smartphones including Samsung S7 edge, S7, S6 edge and S6 with a simple upgrade to the latest firmware version.

The Operator has recently reported that it has signed on 5 million customers on its 4G services within two months of launch after the debut of the service in December last year.
