Melita, Malta's leading provider of next generation broadband, fixed and wireless connectivity services has partnered with iPass to provide customers using its melitaWiFi Travel service free use of the iPass network when traveling outside Malta. iPass boasts 50 million hotspots in more than 120 countries.

melitaWIFI Travel aims to make it as easy as possible for customers to access Wi-Fi while they are travelling. The service enables customers to stay connected on their laptop, smartphone and tablet devices, without incurring the expensive roaming fees charged by other operators, said Melita. Melita claims that it is the only operator on the island to offer free and unlimited Wi-Fi to mobile customers when they are abroad.

Patricia Hume, Chief Commercial Officer, iPass
Melita's service is a great example of how operators can use Wi-Fi to differentiate their customer offering in a competitive and crowded market. As iPass' network of Wi-Fi hotspots continues to grow rapidly, Melita customers are likely to benefit further.
