Vodafone India, the second largest mobile operator in India has launched a new concept customer center that is manned by all women employees in Chandigarh, the capital of the northern Indian states of Punjab and Haryana.

Dubbed as 'Vodafone Angel store’, the opening is seen as a step towards women empowerment on the occasion of International Womens’ Day which took place last Tuesday. 

Located at Sector 27, the Vodafone Angel Store only-women staff include security, pantry, customer service resources as well as management level personnel. 

According to Vodafone, the latest initiative is in line with its endeavor of encouraging diversity and inclusion at workplace.
