Orange has formed a new partnership with Google to bring the best of mobile internet to its entire African and Middle Eastern (Orange MEA) footprint by offering Orange customers access and content through an all-inclusive digital communication package.
Both the companies will provide services including popular content covering fashion, sport and music, as well as everyday tools such as Google Search, YouTube and Google Maps via the package. Orange said that the package is especially adapted to youth who have high data usage and want the latest generation smartphones. Following this, Orange is also launching a $40 smartphone that comes with text, minutes and data to the two markets.
The offer will be delivered in a phased approach and will start to be rolled out across the full Orange MEA footprint in the second quarter of this year, said the service provider.
